Hyderabad, Telangana
A research-focused institute specializing in computer science, electronics, and information technology.
IIIT Hyderabad is an autonomous, not-for-profit university set up in 1998 under a public-private partnership model. It is known above all for computer science and research, with many undergraduates taking dual-degree programs that combine a B.Tech with a research-based master's. Research centres in areas such as AI, robotics, language technologies and data science are central to the campus. It is smaller and more academically intense than a typical engineering college, and its student festival is Felicity.
